Dziadowen, which received the Germanized name Königstal in 1905, was one of the largest villages in the Johannisburger Heide south of Pisz (formerly Johannisburg).

Pasken was a village in the Johannisburg Heath, located on the Pissek River. It was first mentioned in a document in 1495, making it one of the oldest villages founded by the Teutonic Order in the region.
The Groß Steinort cemetery is located in the north of Masuria on a narrow piece of land between the Steinorter and the Dargeimer lakes (Jezioro Sztynorckie and Jezioro Dargin), about 20 km southeast of the district town of Węgorzewo (formerly Angerburg).
The village of Lippa in the Johannisburg Heath was not founded until 1690. It belonged to the so-called “Schatulldörfer” (treasury villages), which were established to supplement the then scarce Prussian treasury.

The name of the village Wilken comes from the Polish word meaning “wolf”. It is probably a family name of the first owners of the village.
