Hildegard Scheimann
* 17. 9. 1922
† 29. 3. 1923
When Hildegard Scheimann died as an infant at just over six months old, her family lived in Kittlitz. Her mother was Martha Scheimann, who was 32 years old at Hildegard’s birth, the daughter of Johann and Amalie Schwettling, who are also buried in the cemetery of Groß Steinort. Martha married Heinrich Julius Scheimann in Labab in 1916 or 1917. Her husband was a deputant, a farm worker who lived mostly on the farm of the landlord for which he worked, and was mostly paid in kind. Hildegard, who died so young, had an older sister born in 1919, whose name is as little known as her fate.[1]
