Karl Gellesch
*24. 12. 1866 †11. 6. 1940
Karl or Carl Friedrich Gellesch was probably born in Stawisken. His father of the same name worked there as a roofer and day laborer, he apparently had no possession. His mother was called Catharina and was born with the surname Milthaler.[1] Her son worked as a craftsman or machinist, probably on the estate of the Lehndorffs. He married Maria born Dronski in 1889 and had at least seven children with her until 1904.[2] At his death in 1940, he was described as an “estates craftsman”.[3]
